One of the best gifts I’ve given myself is a routine that my body can count on. It’s not about being rigid or boring—it’s about teaching my body what to expect so it can thrive. For me, routine = freedom.
This is me stepping out of the norm.
Instead of winging it with meals or grabbing whatever’s convenient, I’ve learned that planning ahead keeps me focused, fueled, and moving forward. And honestly? It saves me from those hangry moments where anything within reach looks like dinner. (We’ve all been there.)
Here’s a peek at what my food journal looks like most weeks:
Breakfast: eggs, avocado, and a “meat of the week” (because who doesn’t love a little variety?).
Morning snack: usually a rice cake with peanut butter or a protein bar.
Lunch: meal-prepped goodness—balanced, simple, and ready to go.
Afternoon snack: either another protein bar or that trusty rice cake with PB.
Dinner: another meal-prepped plate that ends the day on a steady note.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being intentional. Every choice is a way of reminding myself: I’m moving forward.
Some people hear “meal prep” and think “boring.” But here’s the truth—meal prep is freedom in disguise. It takes the guesswork out of eating, keeps me fueled with foods that serve me, and clears up mental space for the things that actually matter.
Because at the end of the day, the goal isn’t just eating well—it’s living well.
So here’s my question for you: do you keep a food rhythm, or do you go with the flow?
Either way, the important thing is finding what helps you move forward.
And yes, avocado is absolutely a love language. 🥑✨
