When Do You Sit Quietly with Jesus? 🌅✨

Life moves fast. Alarms go off, emails pile up, kids need attention, and suddenly the day is gone before we even catch our breath. That’s why I’ve learned how important it is to set aside intentional time with Jesus—a time that’s just for Him, without distraction.

For me, that time comes in the early morning.

Before the sun comes up, I leash up the dogs and step outside. The streets are still quiet, the sky is dark but softening, and it feels like the world is holding its breath. As I walk, I talk with Him. It’s not fancy—it’s just honest. Those walks have become one of the sweetest parts of my day.

When we come back inside, the rhythm continues. Breakfast, prayer, coffee-because yes, coffee is absolutely part of my holy routine 😉, and a good stretch. It’s simple, but it resets my mind, my body, and my spirit.

That little routine doesn’t just start my day—it refreshes my walk with Jesus.

And I’ve realized this: it’s less about when or how we carve out time with Him and more about the heart behind it. It can be a walk, a prayer journal, a worship song in the car, or whispered prayers in the middle of a busy afternoon. What matters is that we’re making space to listen, to speak, and to simply be with Him.

So let me ask you: how do you refresh your walk with Jesus?

Take a moment to think about it. Maybe today’s the perfect day to pause, breathe, and step into a rhythm that draws you closer to Him.
