There’s something about fall that makes me crave rhythm. The cooler mornings, the shorter days—it feels like the season itself whispers, slow down and find your flow.
So I thought I’d share a little glimpse into what my weekly routine looks like in this season.
Mornings That Start Before the Sun
My day starts early—like 3:45 AM early! It sounds a little wild, but I’ve found such peace in beginning before the world wakes up. From 4:00–5:00, I’m moving my body at the gym. By 5:15, I’m out the door walking the dogs, breathing in the quiet stillness of the morning.
Around 5:30/6:00, it’s time for my favorite combo: stretching and coffee. Coffee isn’t just a drink—it’s a small ritual that feels like comfort in a mug. From there, I start getting ready between 6:00–7:00 and pack up for work by 7:30/7:45.
The Workday Flow
Work runs from 8:00–5:00, but I always carve out a little break around 11:30. That’s when I head home to walk the dogs, feed them, and sneak in some steps for myself. It’s a reset button in the middle of the day.
Evenings with Purpose
Each evening carries its own rhythm:
Monday: open and free—a little breathing room to just be.
Tuesday: Worship practice, which always fills me with joy. 🎶
Wednesday: Purpose Group night—community and connection midweek.
Thursday: another free evening (margin matters!).
Friday: fasting and sabbath rest—a weekly reminder to slow down.
Saturday & Sunday: I sometimes work 10–3, but Sundays always anchor me with church at Purpose Church. Gathering with my community, worshipping together, and being reminded that we’re all God’s children—it’s the highlight of my week.
Why Rhythm Matters
It’s not about having a “perfect” routine. Life is never that tidy. But these rhythms keep me grounded, helping me make intentional space for God, for people, and for rest. They remind me that even in a busy season, there’s beauty in slowing down and finding order in the chaos.
This is the heartbeat of my fall: structure that leaves room for His presence.
What about you—what rhythms are you leaning into this season?
